Ok, sorry for the late announcement. I guess mcm susah nak pilih pemenang sbb semuanya ada tarikan sendiri bila menulis entry gubahan idaman tue.. Ada yang kelakar, come out with the new idea and ada jugak yang cerita dengan semangat sekali. To be honest, I really know the feelings of bride to-be. The excitedness, the nerveousness semua become into 1... (tetiba teringat zaman kawin..hihihi).. Oh! And I wish, kalau diberi 1 kesempatan lagi untuk ulang detik2 bersejarah itu, pasti I takkan tolak! All the feelings are different and tak pernah debaran seperti itu yg pernah I rasa b4 this.. How excited I am on my big day! But perasaan tue lagi indah bila perkahwinan itu telah sah and the feelings become a mummy juga adalah 1 perasaan yg lagi tak dapat diungkap! On that day, I really feel complete!

Wedding Card?

During my time, I've always imagine to have something exclusive for my wedding invitation. Perhaps, I nie jenis suka something yg look very classy and exclusive. I still remember hunting for my wedding card, a really challenge for me and sanggup melakukan apa saja demi mencapai kad yang diingini.. hihihi

For me, wedding card shows the credibility of the owner. For example, Maya's wedding card sangat simple using the photostat paper to send out to their guest. It shows that Maya is a nature lover and even the card being issue by others, "Hey, it's her wedding.. why everyone need to bother?"

Out there, there are so many supplier offered so many design that can be choose by bride n groom to-be. Pilih jer yg mana suka, pasti ada yg memikat hati! Dan kalau takde yg berkenan di hati, u can make ur own personalized wedding card! But, please take note, the price is always expensive.

During my time, I always heart hardcover wedding card. I received so many quotation on hardcover wedding card but none of them can suit my budget on that time. So, I asked fiance (and of course now nie dah jadi husband) and my aunty and sis to join me to Jakarta for wedding card hunting! luckily we have friend at Jakarta and she really help us a lot during our wedding card hunting! She suggested Pasar Tebet, Jakarta as they really offered a lot of design for hardcover wedding card!

We went to Pasar Tebet.. It is a small pasar buruk yg I thought "Nie ker tempat dia?". But it's ok.. we went there and masuk2 jer, I was really in love with all the card offered at Pasar Tebet. I was so surprised dengan harga yg ditawarkan.. berangan diva konon nak hardcover wedding card yg besar coz it only cost me around Rp10,000 bersamaan dengan RM3 lebih jer on that time.. hahaha...

But after discussion with fiance on that time, we choose just a simple card yet so exclusive (pada mata pandangan saya la...). And they charge me for Rp5,000 each for 500 order. Wah, lompat katak I masa tue sbb dapat kad idaman dengan harga RM1.80 jer!

So, we ordered the card.. BUT!; the card cannot be ready immediately.. it will take 2 mths time untuk siap. So, I was thinking it's ok.. 2 mths after that I went back to Jakarta to pick up the card.

Even, macam leceh jer nak order kad jauh2 kan, at least I have my dream wedding card.. Even the cost bukan lagi RM1.80 sbb + with flight ticket to Jakarta + custom tax, the price dah jadi RM3.50 sekeping for my card.. Luckily still on my budget and what make me so happy, it still cheap compared to Malaysia's supplier + saya boleh jalan2 sekali lagi ke Jakarta.

For all bride to-be.. happy hunting for ur wedding card! Cheap doesn't mean rubbish! But be creative! And those who can afford to have an expensive wedding card, make sure it's really worth for every single penny that you spend!

Preparing Your Own Wedding - Part 2

Today, I would like to share with all of you on my wedding reception which held on July last year. It was a simple ceremony yet so meaningful to me. And again, I managed to planned my own wedding alone and of course with help of my sister and approved by my fiance (now nie husband la..) and not to forget my dad as well.

I put a lot of effort to make sure that my wedding will turn as what I've planned. So much things to be considered within the budget. Yes, when planned your own wedding, budget is the first issue to be highlight. Again, I remind "Ukur baju dibadan sendiri". Jika kita mampu setakat itu, rancang perbelanjaan within your budget. Please, be reasonable!

Ok, let's share my wedding reception moment with all of u!

Photographer : Udey Ismail, Candid Syndrome

Hired Udey as my wedding photographer, sikit pun tak menyesal. As I mentioned before, to hire someone professional, tak payah risau the outcome rather than freelance! Ops, I didn't said that freelance is not professional.. but some of freelance photographer, hanya tangkap muat. So, pilih betul2. Ask them their portfolio! See the real result rather than looking at their website. We would like to see the finishing. Kalau dah betul2 confident, then u can proceed. Price during my time is RM2,500 for 1 session + exclusive large coffea table album

Videographer : Adan

I hired them and got their 'best price' during Pameran Pengantin at Ampang Point. Nothing much to said because this is the bad things that I faced when chased the 'DISCOUNTED PRICE' during exhibition. Their result turns not so well as MAYBE when chasing the discounted price, they asked their junior to do the job. So, I got their price for RM1,500 for 1 session with 'tak berapa best resultnya'.

Reception outfit : Man Kajang

Again, I hired Man Kajang for my reception outfit. I was dreamed about the white wedding dress dr kecik sampai la besar... After discussed with him, so, I finalized to used 100% french lace with beaded during the wedding. i was thinking that, I would like to have something 'Yet traditional but exclusive' during the wedding. So, kebaya pendek with traditional and elegant touch by Abg Man, really made my day! Kain yang meleret + veil yang panjang mencecah lantai, adalah 1 benda yg telah menjadi kenyataan buat saya! Hey, it's my wedding.. tak salah klu I nak berangan princess on that day! Hahaha.. The price including groom's outfit, accessories for both bride n groom, hand bouquet, and heels is RM4,000.

Make Up : Ayang Kamell

I hired Ayang Kamell for tatarias during the day. Again, hired a professional doesn't dissapoint u. price during my time was RM800.

Caterer : Mazia Catering

Oh! Ini lagi satu yang patut diberi pujian. I really love Mazia catering. The table set up at wedding hall, really awesome! The food sangat sedap and the best things, makanan yang lebih, siap dah sediakan bekas untuk my family bawak balik! Since, my wedding is a fully seated with dome on each table + cover chair for all chairs + makan beradab, price during my time was RM40 per head for 600 guests. Very recommended!

Pelamin : Aida, DeBunga Gallery

Again, she is my pelamin maker aka pelamin designer. I was really in love with my pelamin with fully fresh flowers. Since the wedding adalah dekat hall, so pelamin besar adalah diperlukan. Working with Aida adalah sgt best! She has experienced working with Rizalman Ibrahim before. No wonder, she is very talented. The package included pelamin, isle, deco at meja beradap and deco at main door is RM6k during my time. it's worth for every single penny + the outcome sangat gojes!

Bunga Pahar, Wedding Favor, Bunting : Merisik Gallery

I made my own bunga pahar with dip in white color + red chocolate egg from fidani! For all guests, Fidani chocolate + black modern box with damask design that customized by my team, was really exclusive. Price for bunga pahar dip is RM15 per stalk and RM5 for customized wedding gifts. Ha, this one, habis jer wedding, berpuluh2 tempahan MG dapat because we paste the sticker on the back of the gift!

Planning your own wedding

I guess I never share my wedding moments with MG's readers.. I dunno why, but I guess it is too much things to be share with all bride to-be. But, after a year, I was thinking, WHY NOT?

Planning your own wedding by yourself, I bet it is not the easiest things to do... Tenaga, Kesabaran, Masa, Bajet, Keinginan, Perfection should be compiled into one. Being a bride once in your lifetime, sape yang tak nak PERFECT kan?

Bukan semua org boleh planning dengan baik and it takes a lot of effort untuk plan jadi yang terbaik.. at least, kalau tak terbaik pun, it's end with harapan tinggi menggunung yang kita idam2kan untuk wedding menjadi kenyataan.. oh you! please dun denied this! i know u feel the same things on what i faced before. I stumbled upon too much blogger cerita2 pasal wedding mereka! (and of course cerita ini termasuklah di blog adik saya..) And during my time, hanya ada beberapa saja blog yg bercerita pasal kawin.. I mean yang menjadikan blog mereka hanya cerita2 pasal kawin... It's a good things that all bride to-be can share their wedding preparation with others. But beware, too fanatic about ur wedding buat org lain yang tak mampu, gerun bila membaca.. hahaha..!

- She resigned from Candid Syndrome on August 08 (if i'm not mistaken) a month after my wedding because of her mom yang sakit on that time.. She's a talented photographer even dia nie kecik jer orgnya.. For those who interested to hire her, go here. The price for photographer during my time (a year ago) with Candid Syndrome is RM1,800 for one session with normal size coffee table album

Nikah Outfit : Man Kajang

- The reason why you should go and find a DESIGNER rather than a TAILOR for ur wedding adalah sbb THEY KNOW BEST about your body cutting! Hired Man Kajang as my nikah outfit, I was really 'giler best mamat nie buat baju' sbb i look totally different from my original size.. sambil dalam hati kata, "Aku dah weight loss ker?" Hahaha.. The designed, inspired by Aleeza Kassim's nikah outfit... I just love the colourful colour on it! Price during my time is RM2,800 including groom's outfit, accessories, new heels, and hand bouquet..Sbb bodek punya pasal, Abg Man bagi all the accessories yg I guna nie as my wedding gift! Suka!

Make-Up : Sue Cantik

- Gorgeous and I didn't believe; "Aku nie catik jugak orangnya.." hahha.. believe me.. hired a MAKE-UP ARTIST adalah sangat berbaloi.. Even you spend a lot, you no need to worry the outcome because they are proffessional. Price during my time is RM800

Pelamin : Aida, DeBunga Gallery

-Hired her as my pelamin maker, bukanlah sia2.. every penny that I spend, it;s worth! Remember, to deal with pelamin maker, kenalpasti apa sebenarnya yang anda mahukan.. bukan hari nie cakap lain, esok cakap lain, make them pening2 and u will not get what u want! Help them by knowing what u really want.. And not to forget, if u're on tight budget, do let them know. Ask them either they can make the beautiful pelamin between your budget. But, remember, JANGAN MINTAK PELAMIN WITH 5 PANEL DGN RM1K BUDGET.. Be reasonable.. consider their transportation (transportation bukan murah...), tenaga, alatan2 dan aksesori for pelamin like flowers etc adalah bukan murah... Price for pelamin nikah during my time is RM1,800

Hantaran : Merisik Gallery

-Of course I made my own hantaran. But honestly, to make your own hantaran by yourself with fresh flowers, make me really tired during my nikah day. This is the things that need to be consider if u want to make your own hantaran with fresh flowers.. penat jgn ckp.. nasib ada pembantu yg baik hati :)

What else? Mmm, i guess nie dulu la.. later, I will talk about my wedding reception..ok? Until now, happy hunting 4 ur wedding!
